Annual ACCCA/ACBO Budget Workshop

The Budget Workshop is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hear from a panel of experts at the Chancellor’s Office, the Department of Finance, the Legislative Analyst’s Office and School Services of CA, Inc. who will review the Governor’s budget proposal just days after release! Even though we will be in remote locations for this virtual event, we will still provide expert analysis of the budget during these unprecedented times.
We will have our panel of experts break down the budget proposal and provide insight and analysis from each of the unique perspectives of state and system leaders about the development and impact of the 2021-22 budget. They will also address various scenarios and strategies for shaping the budget debate going forward.

2021-22 Economic Projections and the
Impact on Recovery
When and how we return to campus is dependent on a number of evolving factors, not the least of which is how the economy recovers. Dr. McEntire will share his insights on the prevailing economic indicators that will directly impact your planning and restoring the state’s education sector. McEntire joined SSC after successful roles in both private sector and public education institutions and has extensive hands-on experience and expertise in Facilities, Financial Services, Maintenance and Operations, Nutrition Services, Payroll, Purchasing, Risk Management, Warehouse, and Collective Bargaining operations.
The workshop is always informative and substantial and this virtual event will be the same. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of the experts about financial policies and processes that may be currently challenging your institution. You'll be provided with all the details in an electronic version of the comprehensive budget workbook you can use at your institution.
