IMPORTANT UPDATE
June 19, 2025,
Please see the important development regarding one of the SASS insurance benefits that come with your ACCCA membership.
Recently Mestmaker LLC, the company that administers the ACSA/SASS insurance coverage through Standard Insurance Company, notified ACSA that it will end its partnership with ACSA/SASS.
As a result, the $10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefit included with your ACCCA membership, is discontinued effective immediately.
However, we’ve just received an encouraging update from ACSA/SASS – The Standard Group Insurance has not canceled any existing group coverage at this time. This means that if you have purchased additional coverage beyond what was already included in your membership such as Group Term Life or Long-Term Disability (LTD) through Standard Insurance Company, those policies will continue with Standard and you are still covered as an individual.
We want to assure you that we are actively communicating with our partners at ACSA/SASS as they work to source alternative insurance & benefit program providers and we will keep you posted as events develop.
What does this mean for you?
We understand this news may raise questions, especially if you have active coverage through ACSA/SASS as an ACCCA member, but you should be confident that we are working urgently to determine what alternative coverage options may be available through ACSA/SASS going forward.
We will share updated information as soon as it becomes available and continue to keep you informed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we recommend reviewing your current insurance documentation or group benefit statements for reference.
If you have specific policy questions, please contact Mestmaker & Associates at (877) 472-6722 or (661) 325-5999. If you have questions or need additional information about your ACCCA benefits in general, please reach out our office at (916) 443-3559 or email director@accca.org.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition. Please know that maintaining useful and affordable benefits for our members remains a top priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
