The ACCCA Great Dean’s Program focuses on these key areas:

• Administrative Policies, Procedures, and Structures 
• Networking, Community Building, and Personal Wellness

Program Overview

• Application required to be accepted into this program.
• The program fee if accepted is $1850. 
• The 8-month program begins with a three-day institute in Sacramento.
• Two regional in-person all-day workshops are scheduled in the fall. 
• A pre-conference training at the Annual ACCCA Conference.  
• Virtual intersession check-ins to support training concepts and build community throughout the year (optional).

Who should consider this program?

• NEWER ADMINISTRATORS LESS THAN 5 YEARS New administrators, eager to learn, make an impact, and excel while navigating the California CC System.
• SEASONED ADMINISTRATORS 5 YEARS OR MORE Seasoned administrators seeking opportunities for further growth and career advancement.

Learning Outcomes

1. Develop an understanding of equity and social justice principles for application in the role of a Dean.
2. Cultivate effective leadership, supervision, and conflict resolution skills in the educational context.
3. Master administrative policies, procedures, and structures within California Community Colleges.
4. Build strong professional networks and authentic relationships in the field of education.
5. Prioritize personal wellness and mental health to thrive as Deans
